Fledgelings seek Tesco votes

Fledgelings pre-school are seeking votes from shoppers at Tesco Brandon next month in the store's Bags of Help scheme will see them bag up to £4000.

Bags of Help is Tesco's local community grant scheme where the money raised from the 5p bag charge is being used to fund thousands of local projects in communities across the UK.

With the money they will receive as part of the scheme, Fledgelings are promising to buy equipment for SEND (Special Education Needs & Disability) children to support and enhance their learning.

Back in 2016 the pre-school faced permanent closure as they moved to the Scout HQ in Brandon.

Ofsted regulations on relocation meant they were unable to open straight away and their financial reserves were used on rent, staff wages and utlity bills which still had to be paid whilst they waited.

They re-opened in January 2017 running 7 sessions and are now up to 10 sessions as well as offering a lunch club every day.

Also entered into the Bags of Help scheme for July and August are Brandon Town Community FC and St Peter's Church Institute.
