Crews at Elveden aircraft incident

Fire and rescue crews from across Suffolk and Norfolk along with Suffolk police were called to reports of an aircraft incident near to Elveden.

At 13.52 today, Monday 26th March 2018, a call was made to the emergency services and teams were sent to the scene.

Six fire appliances from Brandon, Thetford, Woodbridge, Bury St Edmunds (two) and Newmarket were in attendance.

Police have now confirmed that, following a search of the area, there have been no sightings of a downed aircraft.

The fire service said they had been informed of controlled burning at the Elveden Estate today.
