Judging for in bloom only days away

Judges from Anglia in Bloom will be arriving in Brandon in less than two weeks time as they visit the town on Friday 6th July for a tour carried out by Brandon in Bloom.

Part of the Royal Horticultural Society's (RHS) Britain in Bloom competition, Anglia in Bloom covers Suffolk, Norfolk, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex and Hertfordshire.

The tour, which will begin at 10am, will take the judges on a route across Brandon showcasing the work of volunteers, community groups and schools who help make Brandon look its best.

Glade Academy will be first on the route and the tour will include all three of Brandon in Bloom's adopted areas as well as Brandon Country Park, Doddalies Pond and Fledgelings Pre School.

Brandon in Bloom are now asking for help from residents to help tidy and litter pick the route (which can be found here) ready for the arrival of the judges.

Two of the areas maintained by the group have also been entered into special award categories.

The Wedge, located on Thetford Road, has been entered into Best Floral Display and Seymour’s Garden, found along Seymour Avenue, for Best Biodiversity Project.
