The Friendly Bench

The Friendly Bench in Brandon is a safe, easily accessible, mini community garden with integrated seating and sensory planting which aims to tackle loneliness and social isolation.

Brandon’s bench is located on Bury Road and is a project managed by Brandon in Bloom. The area has been purposely designed as an outdoor social space that reconnects people back to their own community.

The Friendly Bench was handed over to Brandon in Bloom on Wednesday 7th June 2021 after being opened by Mike Chester, vice-chair of West Suffolk Council.
