Firefighters were called to a vehicle fire following a road traffic collision on Wangford Road just outside Brandon earlier this evening.
Suffolk Fire & Rescue Service was alerted to the incident at 18:11 today, Wednesday 12th February.
Crews from Brandon Fire Station attended the incident and one of the cars was fully engulfed in flames upon their arrival.
Firefighters used hose reel jets and using breathing apparatus to bring the blaze under control.
Two casualties had already exited the vehicles before the fire service arrived.
Firefighters administered first aid at the scene before paramedics transported both individuals to hospital for further medical treatment.
Once the fire was extinguished, crews worked to make the vehicles safe and clear the scene.
