Mr G's to close its doors for the foreseeable future

Mr G’s Bowling Centre has confirmed that they will be closing their doors ‘for the foreseeable future’ at the end of next week.

The popular venue, located on Market Hill in Brandon, told BrandonSuffolk.com that Sunday 9th March, would be their final day of trading.

Rumours of the closure have been circulating on social media and have now been officially acknowledged.

A spokesman for Mr G’s said to BrandonSuffolk.com: “Unfortunately the rumours are true, we are closing for the foreseeable future on Sunday 9th March.

“We’re not sure what the future plans are for now but we will update people at a later date if anything is decided.”

On social media they added: “It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closing of Mr G’s Bowling after nearly 20 years in business. This decision has not been made lightly, but due to various challenges, we have reached the painful, last resort decision to close.

“We want to take this opportunity to express our deepest gratitude to our incredible staff – past and present – who have been the backbone of Mr G’s Bowling. Many of you have been with us for years, and we are beyond grateful for your loyalty, commitment, and the memories we’ve shared.

“To our loyal customers, we cannot thank you enough for your support over the years. It has been our absolute pleasure to be a part of your special moments.

“Although this chapter is coming to an end, we will always cherish the experiences, relationships, and sense of community that have made Mr G’s Bowling so special. Thank you for being a part of our journey.”

In addition to its bowling lanes, Mr G’s is home to a bar and restaurant, making it a well-known spot for social gatherings, birthday parties and more. Having served the community for almost 20 years, the closure will undoubtedly be a significant loss for Brandon.
