Students travelled to Hockwold Hall in a convoy of supercars

A group of students from Breckland School enjoyed an unforgettable journey to their prom this evening in a convoy of supercars.

Local car owners generously volunteered their luxury vehicles and time free of charge to provide this unique experience for the Year 11s.

The opportunity to ride in one of these high-end cars was part of a raffle designed to raise funds for the prom. Additionally, every student received a complimentary ticket from local firm NRS Landscape.

The idea, originally conceived by Nick Howe, the school’s site manager, last year, saw an impressive increase in numbers with over 40 cars joining the convoy.

The lucky raffle winners were picked up from the school and escorted through town by Suffolk Police.

The procession then travelled through Weeting and Hockwold, eventually arriving at Hockwold Hall.

The weather remained dry, allowing local residents to line the streets and cheer as the students made their way to the prom.
