Brandon Heritage Centre reopens its doors for the summer season this Saturday, 12th April, at 10:00am and it’s kicking things off with an exciting, bee-themed exhibition that promises to create quite a buzz.
The centre’s first temporary display of the year, curated by local beekeeper Karen, explores the fascinating world of bees. Spread across two rooms, the exhibition offers an engaging and educational experience for all ages, showcasing the vital role bees play in our ecosystem and what goes into caring for them.
Visitors can enjoy an interactive quiz and take part in a creative competition to design their very own beehive using a provided template. The winning entries will be rewarded with a special opportunity to visit Karen’s live hives in May – an up close look at the buzzing life of bees.
Karen herself will be making special appearances at the Heritage Centre on 24th April, 4th May, 10th May, 18th May, and 1st June. While the times are yet to be confirmed, updates will be shared on the Heritage Centre’s Facebook page.
In addition to the display, guests can browse a variety of bee-related items for sale, with some freebies available too.
The Brandon Heritage Centre team says they are excited to welcome visitors back and encourage everyone to come along and explore the world of bees in this unique and family-friendly exhibition.
